Sparking a Love Revolution: Ms. Wise

Alyesha Wise, aka Ms. Wise, is on a mission to spark a revolution. Not the “grab your guns because the British are coming” kind of revolution, quite the contrary: she wants you to join her at SisterSpace Weekend in September and be a part of her Love Revolution.

Alyesha Wise“I’m a strong believer that Universal & Self Love is the healing force to all that exists,” the Camden, NJ native and two time Philadelphia grand slam champion explains. “It’s way past time that Love rises to the position in which it’s meant to be.”

Among the many different projects she’s involved in, Alyesha is founder of “Love, Us” an annual mixed-artists production/movement, created to promote universal and self-love through the arts. This year’s production (the third annual) will take place Wednesday, June 27.

She’s also a featured performer at SisterSpace Weekend’s night stage, where she’s looking forward to the opportunity to build and connect with all the women that will be in attendance: “The performance part sounds fun, but to be able to be around so much sisterly energy for an entire weekend, and potentially build lasting connections sounds super.”

We’re certainly looking forward to her performance, where she’ll be doing some old pieces but debuting something special just for the occasion. Check out this piece from her YouTube channel about gay rights:

Phillesbian is the official media sponsor for the 35th Anniversary of SisterSpace Weekend, Sept. 7 – 9, 2012, a three-day all-girl festival featuring music, comedy, workshops, arts, outdoor activities, pool parties, and more.
