Sam has more than a decade of nonprofit experience, with an extensive background in fundraising, grantmaking, and philanthropy. She also has a Master’s degree from UPenn and she’s worked passionately in Philly’s LGBTQ community for years.

She’s the first female Executive Director of DVLF as well as the youngest in the organizations history.

“I’m excited to bring my expertise in fundraising and philanthropy to an organization I love,” she says. “I feel passionately about DVLF’s mission, and hope to raise its profile in the community, particularly among young women.”

Sam has been a donor and volunteer with DVLF for two years, serving on the TOY, Wonder Women, and Outreach and grantmaking committees.

“We are very excited to welcome Samantha,” said DVLF President D. Mark Mitchell. “DVLF celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year, and we believe she brings the energy and leadership necessary to propel this organization into the next stage of growth.”
