Phillesbian 5th Annual Fall Guide

Nights are finally getting cooler, days are getting shorter, and football is back, which can only mean one thing – fall has arrived in Philly. From street festivals to marches to concerts, there are plenty of great events to partake in over the next few months – so grab your PSL and get out your calendars to start saving these dates!

March to End Rape Culture 2016
Saturday, September 24
11a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The annual March to End Rape Culture – kicking off at 1401 JFK Blvd. – is a place to help raise awareness in the community about rape culture and what we can do about it. It is also a supportive and empowering place for survivors who would like to speak out and find out about local resources. The event is a safe space for survivors and inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, ages and races.

Midtown Village Fall Festival
Saturday, October 1
Noon – 8 p.m.
The 11th Annual Midtown Village Fall Festival features eight blocks of fun right in the gayborhood. Starting at noon, the festival features food and drinks from Midtown Philly restaurants, live music at four stages, shopping, arts & crafts, and more.

Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin Beer Festival
Saturday, October 1
10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
If you love pumpkin beer, then you won’t want to miss the 8th annual Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin Beer Festival, now the world’s largest pumpkin beer festival with more than 100 pumpkin beers, ciders, lambics & sours. The entry fee for General Admission is $45 and gives you unlimited pumpkin brews from 12pm to 6pm.

Blocktober Fest
Saturday, October 15
Noon – 9 p.m.
The popular South Street free-to-attend, all-ages festival returns! Blocktober Fest takes over four blocks of South Street from between Broad and 18th and will feature a wide selection of craft beer, food from neighborhood vendors and food trucks, and live entertainment. And the best part is that beer proceeds are directed back into a variety of neighborhood initiatives, including education and green space.

Fishtown River City Festival
Saturday, October 8
Noon – 6 p.m.
The Fishtown Neighbors Association presents the 9th annual River City Festival at Penn Treaty Park from noon – 6 p.m. This free event promotes local businesses, features more than 100 local arts and food vendors, and attracts nearly 10,000 attendees.

Philly Trans* March

3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The 6th annual Philly Trans* March is taking place Saturday, October 8 at Thomas Paine Plaza, 1401 JFK Blvd. There will be music and light refreshments, followed by a peaceful march through Center City and the gayborhood.

Old City Fest

Old City Fest is a celebration of art and design, fashion and food, creativity and culture on the streets of America’s most historic square mile— Old City, Philadelphia. The 3rd annual event, taking place on 3rd St. between Market and Race and Arch between 2nd and 4th, features a stage with live music and performances, a design showcase room, pop-up performances, and an array of food, beverages, and shopping.
