Phillesbian.com is the only digital magazine catering exclusively to women who love women in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. It strives to be informative and insightful with a dash of humor, offering lesbian/queer identified women in Philly a resource for news, arts & culture, events, fashion, health, and more.
There are plenty of other LGBTQ blogs out there, but we felt that the majority of them cater most of their content toward gay men, and while we love & support our gay brothers, there are issues unique to lesbian & queer identified women that often get left out. Therefore, Phillesbian.com was born to shed positive light & empower women who love women. Our focus is hyperlocal to Philly, allowing us to profile the women and places you pass each day on your way to work, to the store, to your board meeting, to the club, etc.
Philly is a city with hundreds of women who love women, and we want to call attention to the amazing things we accomplish each and every day. Phillesbians are poets and political figures, lawyers and art directors, students and teachers, professors at universities and police officers. We are mothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters, friends, wives, and lovers, all residing in the birthplace of America and united in our Sapphic love.
Founded in May 2012, the site is a labor of love. Click here to meet the Phillesbian team.
